So there has been a major outage of operations on all of Facebook platforms, which includes: WhatsApp, Facebook, Messenger, Instagram, and all other related service tied to the Facebook infrastructure.
We hope that these services be restored as soon as possible. But the big question here is, how will this go on to affect businesses and personal engagements that rely heavily on the use of these platforms?
Well, one of the obvious disadvantages, of course, includes the loss of some businesses, other businesses will get postponed (chance of losing such businesses depending on the urgency). From the personal side of it, communication is halted, especially when it comes to sending and receiving multimedia such as pictures, audio, and videos.

Such scenarios are the reason we have always advised our clients to ensure that their business is spread across various social platforms. Don’t stop there, you should also ensure that your client and potential clients are aware of all of the platforms that they can reach you on.

As soon as the outage of the Facebook platform began, we quickly sent a telegram broadcast to our clients informing them of the issue with WhatsApp in case they were wondering and also let them know that we are available on Telegram to attend to their business.

Within the space of two hours, we had several of our clients active on telegram continuing business with us. While some have had it dormant on their phones for a while, others were just getting to newly install and use the platform.
Spend some time today registering and setting up Telegram for your business and personal use. Do not stop there, get your business on as many social platforms as possible. No app is perfect and this sort of service outage can also happen with Telegram or any other service.
The point is, you do not want to be caught unaware of not being able to reach your loved ones, business partner, clients, send urgent large multimedia files on the go…whatever the case might be.
There are a host of other apps and platforms that we can take advantage of. We gave Viber, Tik Tok, Snapchat, and many others. DO not put all of your eggs in one basket or so they say.
